PROPER PIZZAS

Proper pizza dough is made in house from scratch using a proprietary sourdough starter. The dough is allowed to rise for 3 days, which gives our crust a supremely unique flavor and texture.  Proper pizzas are baked to order in our 800-degree wood-burning oven and measure approximately 11 inches across (8 slices per pizza).

Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, just steps away from the city's finest theatres and galleries. We're an easy walk from the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, many downtown hotels, and the North Shore sports venues. We are not currently accepting reservations, and all guests are seated on a first-come, first-served basis once their entire party is present.
